Leon has long been captivated by word origins and deepened his expertise in etymology through self study.
This journey led to the creation of Word History, a weekly podcast dedicated to etymology. In addition to tracing the origins of words and names, he frequently highlights historical events related to the topic and terms explored.
Leon later developed Derivety, a daily etymology-based word game where players race against the clock to uncover the day’s word, using its origin and a helpful hint as clues.
The name Etymoleon combines the word 'etymology', which is the study of word origins, with Leon's name.
